    Assessment of factors influencing adoption of cloud computing technology: a case of selected Tanzanian organizations

    This study is purposely on investigating factors influencing the adoption of cloud computing technology among Tanzanian organizations. 'The study specifically aimed at determining the influence of security, flexibility and top management support level as well as to investigate the influence of demographic characteristics on cloud computing adoption among Tanzanian organizations. The quantitative research was employed in the study using structured closed ended questionnaires that distributed to the respondents to be filled as a primary data collection tools, The study used convenient sampling technique to select 52 clients from different organizations in Tanzania main land. The primary data collected from the field coded and analyzed by using SPSS 20.0. Technology top management support have postive significant influence or contribution on the cloud computing adoption among Tanzanian organizations, On top of that the findings indicated that, flexibility is the most significant factor that influence adoption of cloud computing technology followed by top management support level. In respect to demographic factor, the findings show that the probability of accepting cloud services are greater for customers with bachelor's degrees than other levels of education followed by company with medium size number of employees ranging between twenty and one ninety-nine. Finally, based on these results, the study provides vital important practical implications to the developers on how to promote the cloud service effectively as well as efficiently. This will help to increase the level of customer awareness about cloud innovations that will contribute more on customer adoptions
