    The influence of training on nurses’ performance in the public hospitals in Tanzania a case of Tumbi referral hospital

    This study examines the influence of training on nurses’ performance in public hospitals in Tanzania. Specifically, the study examined three variables to measure employee performance which are mortality rate, service time delivery and customer care. The study had a sample size of 125 individuals. Primary data were collected through the use of self-administered questionnaire which consisted of a number of questions printed in a definite order on a form or set of forms. Qualitative and quantitative approaches were used to analyze data. The findings indicated that the influence of training on nurses in public hospitals increases performance, service delivery also customer care decrease mortality rate to the patient in public hospitals. Also the study identified the importance of training towards the employee performance. Moreover, the study determined proper methods of training, which were useful in facilitating effective training towards making employee proficient. The study recommended that training is enjoyed by older nurses more than younger nurses in which younger nurses are looking into payment, working conditions and satisfaction obtained from the work place which these will affect their performance.
