    Assessing the factors for effective implementation of information systems in public sectors organizations the case of national examination council of Tanzania (NECTA)

    Information Systems failure to meet its intended aims has become major challenge in Tanzania public sectors organization. Despite most of these organizations heavily invest on ICT in order to enhance public services: information systems have failed to meet its intended objectives. So it is important that government decision makers. policy makers, practitioners and public sectors' staffs understand collectively how to effectively implement Information Systems in their organizations. This study focuses on identifying the factors for effective Information Systems implementation and the impact of those factors on Information Systems effectiveness. The research approach adopted in this study includes a quantitative case study survey were NECTA was selected as a case study and data were collected from the sample of 1 50 respondents by using a self administered questionnaire. Factor analysis and multiple linear regression analysis methods were used to analyze data. The findings from this research revealed four constructs factors, all of those factors were not optimal, as the results, the Information Systems were not effective. The main conclusions drawn from this study is that, all factors are significantly .influential on IS effectiveness. and Individual issues' was the most important victor followed by technological issues, workplace environment and Management issues- The study recommended that, the public sectors organizations are supposed to implement Inflammation Systems because of their importance on improving public services. However the systems effectiveness is a parameter which should be assured. This study gives the direction in order for public sectors to folly achieve the Information Systems aims through the management of the critical factors impact.
