In addition, secondary data were obtained from review of secondary data on the subject matter. Overall study findings show that about half of the respondents 35(58.3%) were not knowledgeable neither aware of how to address the dropout problem while the remaining 25(41.7) respondents were knowledgeable and were aware of how to address the school dropout problem. The study concluded by providing recommendations to various factors including, government, school, parents and community on role and responsibilities to address the school dropout problem particularly among girls. Last but not the least, the study presented areas for future research. Some of these include conducting a comparative study of factor contributing to drop-out in public and private secondary schools in rural areas.
